Breaking News - EHV-1 Outbreak
The Pin Oak Charity Horse Show, Great Southwest Equestrian Center and Currie Equine Clinic, the Official Horse Show Veterinarian are monitoring the developments of the outbreak of EHV-1.
Presently the show is not restricting any horses from participation in the competition. As results come in from Ocala and West Palm Beach decisions will be made on how best to keep all horses on the grounds healthy and safe from disease.
The show does ask that all horses be properly vaccinated. Additionally, owners should keep a daily temperature log of their horses.
For more information please contact Currie Equine Clinic at Currieequine@yahoo.com or 979-826-2852.
If you are planning on showing at Pin Oak, we ask that you get your entries and stall counts in on time, entries close March 4th.
We will continue to monitor the situation and make appropriate arrangements as the show draws closer.

With the opening of the new Tellepsen Arena at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center, Pin Oak Charity Horse Show's Week One Breed Show has the room to enhance stabling and warm up areas for American Saddlebreds, Andalusians and Lusitanos. All American Saddlebred classes will be held in the Main Arena, along with Andalusian / Lusitano performance classes, just like last year. The breed competitors will be stabled together at the east end of GSEC in the AA barn with any overflow going into the A barn with stall fees set at $125. The East Arena, formerly the location of jumper classes, will be designated exclusively for Breed Show schooling and warm up. GSEC will be constructing a new covered portico between the East Arena and the Main Arena to facilitate entry from our new schooling area! |
We think these changes will enhance everyone's Week One show experience, for the best Pin Oak Breed Show ever!
Breed Show Manager, Peter Fenton, Breed Show Chairs, Elly Berman, Joan Cantrell, Linda Graham, Executive Director, Roxanne Cook, and President, Lynn Walsh look forward to welcoming you to Pin Oak.
