Pin Oak's giving to the West Campus of Texas Children's Hospital reaches $1.25 million

Pin Oak was the first philanthropic partner to Texas Children's when our giving began in 1947.

Our legacy of giving continues and as of 2014, Pin Oak's giving to the West Campus totals $1.25 million.  Pin Oak Charity Horse Show provided its initial gift of $300,000 when the hospital was in the planning stages.  This gift was in support of the Oncology & Hematology Clinic at West Campus.  In honor of this gift, the Infusion Center is named for Pin Oak.

Our second commitment of $400,000 was made to support the work of Child Life at West Campus.

The Child Life playroom on the 2nd floor of the in-patient unit is named for Pin Oak Charity Horse Show to recognize this gift.  With this commitment complete with 2014, a new gift pledge to support Sports Medicine and a Sports Medicine Fellow into perpetuity of $550,000 was made.

Beyond our financial giving, is the year-round engagement we have with the West Campus.  Whether it is decorating the Welcome Desk, unleashing herds of Pin Oak ponies, participating in the annual Family Fun Run or the Teddy Bear Clinic, it is clear that Pin Oak is so much more than just a horse show.

Texas Children’s Hospital is committed to a community of healthy children by providing the finest pediatric patient care, education, and research. Renowned worldwide for its expertise and breakthrough developments in clinical care and research, Texas Children’s Hospital has been healing sick children since 1954 from the greater Houston area, across the country, and around the world.Page under construction.  To learn more about the West Campus of Texas Children's, click here.
